For many years I have had the pleasure of photographing the Williams girls! This year was extra special and actually a little sad. McKenzie the youngest of the two Williams girls is finally a senior in high school! I remember the first time I photographed her, She couldn't have been more than 13 or 14, had braces and was just figuring out exactly who she was going to be. The best part about my job is the journey with each and every client I come in contact with. The journey with the Williams girls has been nothing shy of amazing. I have watched McKenzie grow into a gorgeous, spunky, creative young woman. She started making her own jewelry last year and she hasn't stopped there. This year we followed tradition and went to Atlantic beach for her senior pictures. We hopped in the car and scrounged for our favorite spots to jump out and snap some fabulous memories!
I am so excited that I had the opportunity to capture Amanda and Carsons exciting new adventure in their beautifully built home! I have had so much fun with this precious couple.. from helping Carson to design Amanda's dream ring to now getting to mark this moment in history for them! Welcome home Amanda and Carson! I hope I get to capture many more memories for you!
The air was crisp, the clouds were heavy, the sun was fading, but nothing that afternoon could dull the sparkle of a Christmas session with the Winsteads. As I got to Ashley and Jeremy's house I had a strange sense of deja vu. The only thing missing was the big white tent and the cute signs pointing to where their wedding took place. You know what was even more perfect about photographing Ashley and Jeremy.... Ashley greeted me with fresh homemade brownies... and in that moment I realized I had the best job ever.
(note to clients... if you bring me brownies.. I will edit your pictures faster! ... only kidding ;) I do love homemade baked goods though! ) After weeks of planning a fun and girl inspired maternity session with Morgan we finally got to meet up and celebrate the coming up baby daughtridge! Morgan had lots of fun ideas as to where she wanted to have her pictures taken.... including a few minutes in a Laundry mat... now I know it is unconventional ... but it was so much fun.. and her family owns it, so it was top on her list of fun places to do pictures!
Morgan and Matt have already received their pictures so I thought it was definitely time to share them with you! Congrats to you both! Can't wait to meet your bundle of joy! One of my favorite parts to an ending of a wedding is the fact I get to post my brides portraits! I am such an antsy pants at waiting until after the wedding!
Brock and Cara's Wedding was absolutely beautiful! It was such a wonderful day filled with laughs, tears, and a lot of love! Hope you enjoy! What does fall mean to me? Starbucks Salted Caramel Frappuccinos, Cowboy Boots, sweaters, bonfires, & one of my favorites ... FALL WEDDINGS!
I was honored to photograph Danny and Mackenzies wedding after knowing them for what is almost 20 years. This past weekend was their One Year Anniversary and while they were gallivanting off to South Carolina for a little get away I thought I would work on an inspirational blog post for all my upcoming brides searching for a fall style. What will you find in this blog post? Mason Jars, florals in Reds and Oranges, Wood Stump Center Pieces, Burlap table runners, and much more! I was woken up with a lack of power at my home yesterday, do you realize how many things you can't do without Electricity? Well trust me it is alot. My sister and her daughter Lillian decided to wake me up and have the bright idea we should go to Sam's club. If any of you reading this know me... you know that domestication isn't exactly my strong point. But because I love them so much and she threatened no home cooked meals for a week I got up put my big girls pants on and we set out to Sam's.
Once into Sam's we decided since we had lot's of time to kill we might as well walk down every single aisle to get ourselves acquainted with the product and lay out... considering this is only our second week with our own membership. As we were walking down one of the center aisles I happen to look to my right and see a large display of LouReda's gift card boards... to my surprise.. they used one of my images from their very first session when they opened! People looked at me like I was crazy as I had my sister take a picture of me with this very cool cardboard gift card..... The "South" is something only someone who has lived there can truly understand. My parents packed up our Iowa underground house (yes... my step-dad literally built an "underground" house) and moved all six of us across the country to a little town of Rocky Mount, NC. Out of all my siblings I was the baby and was able to start Kindergarten here. Also due to the fact I was so young I was the one with the strongest southern accent, the one who lived more years here than not, and really am completely grateful for the experience. Due to my upbringing and my love for the south I thought I would create some fun wall art that signified my love for it.
